Two Is My Limit

A few months ago I wrote about how when little girls play together it is imperative to keep an even number in the group. I need to make an amendment to that. That goes for all kids, and for me the even number is two. My nephew has been hanging out with us a lot over Christmas break and while I love and adore him I quickly learned a valuable lesson.

God knew I couldn't handle more than two kids.

I swear the three of them don't agree on anything as a group. Put two of them together and it's all peachy. They're so happy they're shitting skittles. But then the third tries to join and all hell breaks loose. I don't get it. It's like a supernatural phenomenon and they all get possessed by the devil. Heads spin, eyes glow red with fire and the screaming can only be compared to a banshee. And that's just me trying to deal with the fighting!!

So to all my dear, lovely friends who have more than two children, I salute you. You're total rock stars.  If I can't handle having 3 kids with me from time to time I seriously doubt I would be able to hold my shit together if I had 3 all the time. If you have any advice I am so ready to hear it. But it will have to be later because I hear an epic battle starting to go down over Nerf guns. Wish me luck.
